Behind strong returns for shares of Walgreens Boots and Boeing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Tuesday morning. Shares of Walgreens Boots (WBA) and Boeing (BA) have contributed around a third of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow (DJIA) was most recently trading 158 points higher (0.5%). Walgreens Boots’s shares are up $3.71, or 9.3%, while those of Boeing are up $11.23 (6.3%), combining for an approximately 98-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Amgen Inc. (AMGN) 3M (MMM) and Chevron (CVX) A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
