Dow Inc., Inc. share gains contribute to Dow's 50-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Wednesday afternoon with shares of Dow Inc. and Inc. seeing positive gains for the index. Shares of Dow Inc. DOW, +2.84% and Inc. CRM, +2.03% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.13% is trading 55 points higher (0.2%). Dow Inc.’s shares have gained $1.56, or 2.9%, while those of Inc. have risen $4.60 (1.8%), combining for a roughly 41-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Caterpillar CAT, +1.33%, JPMorgan Chase JPM, +1.34%, and American Express AXP, +1.21%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
