Led by strong returns for shares of Salesforce.com Inc. and Walmart, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Thursday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, +0.15% is trading 59 points (0.2%) higher, as shares of Salesforce.com Inc. CRM, +2.91% and Walmart WMT, +2.03% are contributing around a quarter of the index’s intraday rally. Salesforce.com Inc.’s shares are up $8.05, or 3.1%, while those of Walmart are up $3.29 (2.2%), combining for a roughly 75-point bump for the Dow. Chevron CVX, +1.72%, Intel INTC, +1.24%, and 3M MMM, +0.98% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
