Dow's nearly 150-point jump highlighted by gains for Chevron, Boeing stocks

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Tuesday afternoon with shares of Chevron and Boeing delivering the strongest returns for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, +0.45% was most recently trading 141 points higher (0.5%), as shares of Chevron CVX, +5.19% and Boeing BA, +3.87% are contributing about 25% of the index’s intraday rally. Chevron’s shares are up $3.74, or 4.4%, while those of Boeing are up $8.02, or 4.0%, combining for an approximately 77-point bump for the Dow. Goldman Sachs GS, +2.93%, Dow Inc. DOW, +2.76%, and Caterpillar CAT, +1.76% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
