Buoyed by positive gains for shares of Boeing and Caterpillar, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Friday afternoon. Shares of Boeing BA, +6.27% and Caterpillar CAT, +3.12% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.69% was most recently trading 220 points, or 0.7%, higher. Boeing’s shares are up $15.36 (6.1%) while those of Caterpillar have risen $7.32 (3.3%), combining for an approximately 149-point boost for the Dow. Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.75%, Home Depot HD, +1.59%, and Walmart WMT, +1.49% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.58-point swing.
