Powered by strong returns for shares of Boeing and Coca-Cola, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, +0.55% was most recently trading 119 points, or 0.4%, higher, as shares of Boeing BA, +2.95% and Coca-Cola KO, +1.61% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares are up $5.73, or 2.3%, while those of Coca-Cola have gained $0.85, or 1.6%, combining for an approximately 43-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Amgen Inc. AMGN, +1.04%, Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, +1.34%, and Walmart WMT, +1.15%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
