Microsoft, Walgreens Boots share gains contribute to Dow's nearly 400-point rally

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Monday morning with shares of Microsoft and Walgreens Boots seeing positive momentum for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, +1.09% is trading 396 points (1.2%) higher, as shares of Microsoft MSFT, +2.42% and Walgreens Boots WBA, +3.21% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Microsoft’s shares have gained $7.23, or 3.0%, while those of Walgreens Boots have risen $1.56, or 2.9%, combining for an approximately 58-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Walmart WMT, +2.81%, Boeing BA, +2.23%, and Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.58%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
