The Moscow Exchange has started trading shares of the Alfa-Capital Quantum exchange-traded mutual investment fund under the management of Alfa-Capital Management Company. The fund’s units will be traded in US dollars during the main and evening trading sessions. This is stated in the message of the exchange.

A feature of the Alfa-Capital Quantum Fund is active portfolio management based on machine learning methods – algorithms built on the experience of a professional manager.

The fund’s portfolio will include up to 30 shares of the largest American corporations. The composition of the portfolio is determined by the securities that the algorithm considers promising in terms of expected profitability in each period. Thus, the total number of exchange-traded funds of Alfa-Capital Management Company on the Moscow Stock Exchange has reached nine.

The Moscow Exchange Group includes PJSC Moscow Exchange, which operates the only multifunctional exchange platform in Russia for trading stocks, bonds, derivatives, currency, money market instruments and commodities. The group also includes a central depository (NCB JSC “National Settlement Depository”), as well as a clearing center (NCB NCC (JSC)). The Moscow Exchange was formed in December 2011 as a result of the merger of two major Russian exchange groups – the MICEX Group (founded in 1992) and the RTS Group (founded in 1995).
