Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Monday at 11:16AM

Aro Granite Industries(up 4.07%), MOIL(up 1.70%), Pokarna(up 1.59%), KIOCL(up 0.62%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.59%) and Coal India(up 0.05%) were among the top gainers.

Dvpt Corporation(down 1.62%), Ashapura Minechem(down 1.32%), 20 Microns(down 0.96%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.46%) and Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.01%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 137.6 points down at 17716.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 450.16 points at 60391.72 at around 11:16AM.

IndusInd Bank(up 2.21%),

& Special Economic Zone(up 2.21%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.41%), ITC(up 1.21%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.06%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.37%), Axis Bank(up 0.36%), NTPC(up 0.18%), Cipla(up 0.17%) and Coal India(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 5.2%), Divis Laboratories(down 4.59%), JSW Steel(down 2.12%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.08%), Eicher Motors(down 2.03%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.98%), Tata Steel(down 1.87%), Infosys(down 1.82%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.68%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.54%) were trading in the red.
