Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 1.03% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:14AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Bandhan Bank(up 3.84 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(up 2.56 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.5 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 1.26 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 1.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Punjab National Bank(down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was up 1.03 per cent at 42945.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 124.05 points at 18151.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 449.38 points at 61071.15.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, , , and Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , , and Ducol Organics & Colours Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , Vikas Proppant & Gr, Godha Cabcon & Insul, and Atul hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
