Apple Inc. stock outperforms market on strong trading day

Shares of Apple Inc. AAPL advanced 1.01% to $142.53 Tuesday, on what proved to be an all-around mixed trading session for the stock market, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA rising 0.31% to 33,733.96 and the NASDAQ Composite Index COMP falling 0.27% to 11,334.27. This was the stock’s fourth consecutive day of gains. Apple Inc. closed $37.08 short of its 52-week high ($179.61), which the company reached on March 30th.
