Dow falls 212 points on losses for shares of Microsoft, Salesforce

Behind negative returns for shares of Microsoft and Salesforce, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Wednesday morning. Shares of Microsoft MSFT and Salesforce CRM are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA was most recently trading 212 points lower (-0.6%). Microsoft’s shares have fallen $9.28 (3.8%) while those of Salesforce have fallen $3.21 (2.1%), combining for an approximately 82-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Chevron CVX, Apple AAPL, and Home Depot HD. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
