Tesla’s Justice Department subpoena is latest probe into its self-driving cars

A Justice Department subpoena over Tesla Inc.’s Autopilot and self-driving technology is the latest investigation into the EV maker’s suite of advanced driver-assistance systems and software, long criticized for overpromising on the vehicles’ capabilities.

Tesla TSLA disclosed the Justice Department’s requests for documents in its annual filing with securities regulators, saying to its knowledge “no government agency in any ongoing investigation has concluded that any wrongdoing occurred.”
