In addition to buying up $2 billion of Synopsis common stock, NVIDIA will collaborate on new marketing and engineering pursuits.
NVIDIA has announced a new deal with chip design software company Synopsys in which the AI/GPU/CPU focused company will invest $2 billion into the latter’s common stock. In addition to this investment, NVIDIA and Synopsys will collaborate on future engineering and marketing endeavors, leading to new and improved technologies between the two companies.
NVIDIA announced the details of its deal with Synopses in a press release this week, as shared by PR Newswire. According to the terms of the deal, NVIDIA and Synopsys will engage in a multi-year partnership that will utilize Synopsys chip software in NVIDIA CUDA computing, AI development, and more. In addition, NVIDIA is officially purchasing $2 billion of stock in Synopsys at a purchase price of $414.79 per share.

Synopsys seems to supply a number of strengths and opportunities that perfectly suit NVIDIA’s needs. NVIDIA has been at the forefront of AI technology and hardware. The group has been making various investments and deals with other AI and tech companies in the space, such as Anthropic and Nokia, all while becoming the first company ever to reach a $5 trillion valuation.
