US Stock Market Live: Futures on Wall Street have tanked following reports of Israel’s strikes on Iranian locations, also leading to a surge in crude oil prices. The Dow futures are down 700 points, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures are down 120 and 450 points respectively. IDF has said that it launched pre-emptive and precise strikes on Iran earlier, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling it Operation Rising Lion. In response, Israel’s defence minister has declared a ‘special situation’ post the country’s attack on Iran. Brent Crude has surged past the $75 per barrel mark, while Gold prices have also advanced towards the $3,450 an ounce mark. Wall Street’s session on Thursday was aided by a better-than-expected wholesale inflation print and a strong demand for the 30-year bond auction. The street will be closely watching for the developments around Israel and Iran, along with any possible response from China, with regards to the two-day talks between the two countries.
