Saucy Brew Works offering free beer, meal for laid-off Platform employees

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Saucy Brew Works is offering a daily free meal and beer to laid-off Platform Beer Co. workers.

The brewery, at 2885 Detroit Ave., is less than a mile from Platform’s flagship brewery-taproom on Lorain Avenue.

Saucy Brew Works said any recent laid-off Platform Cleveland employees can receive a daily free meal and beer through March. Employees must show their most recent paycheck stub to a bartender when placing their dine-in order at Saucy’s Cleveland brewpub.

Former Platform employees also are encouraged to apply at Saucy, the brewery said in a press release. Saucy, which also has a location in Pinecrest development in Orange Village, offers health insurance, 401K, paid time off and, in what is always an enhancing carrot on the stick: Free weekly beer.
