Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:09AM

Aries Agro(up 6.87%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 6.50%), Bohra Industries(up 5.00%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.66%), Sikko Industries(up 2.15%), Madras Fertlizers(up 1.04%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.59%), KRISHANA(up 0.37%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.29%) and Agro Phos(up 0.26%) were among the top gainers.

Rama Phosphates(down 1.97%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 1.20%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.19%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.91%), National Fertilizer(down 0.88%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.68%), G S F C(down 0.55%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.33%), Coromandel International(down 0.16%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.09%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 229.8 points down at 17598.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 916.48 points at 59514.52 at around 10:09AM.

Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.81%), Nestle India(up 2.49%), Britannia Industries(up 1.73%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.5%), SBI Life(up 0.92%), Coal India(up 0.75%), IndusInd Bank(up 0.74%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.69%), ITC(up 0.68%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 0.58%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Infosys(down 11.53%), Tech Mahindra(down 6.25%), HCL Technologies(down 4.36%), Tata Consultancy(down 3.05%), Wipro(down 3.01%), HDFC(down 2.2%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.94%), HDFC Bank(down 1.89%), Cipla(down 1.55%) and Divis Laboratories(down 1.26%) were trading in the red.
