Amgen, Microsoft share gains contribute to Dow's nearly 100-point climb

DOW UPDATE

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Monday afternoon with shares of Amgen and Microsoft seeing positive momentum for the price-weighted average. Shares of Amgen and Microsoft have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow was most recently trading 98 points higher (0.3%). Amgen’s shares have climbed $6.65 (2.9%) while those of Microsoft have climbed $7.08, or 2.9%, combining for a roughly 90-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Coca-Cola Apple and Johnson & Johnson A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
