Goldman Sachs, Merck share losses contribute to Dow's 200-point drop

DOW UPDATE

Behind negative returns for shares of Goldman Sachs and Merck, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday morning. The Dow was most recently trading 201 points (0.6%) lower, as shares of Goldman Sachs and Merck are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Goldman Sachs’s shares have fallen $8.09 (2.2%) while those of Merck have declined $2.02 (1.9%), combining for an approximately 67-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are UnitedHealth Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
