Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit 2023

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that India is emerging as a major economic power of the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a centre of attraction for establishment of industries and investment due to the geographical location of the state, available natural resources, better law and order, skilled human resources, availability of resources and effective implementation of Ease of Doing Business. Not only the country, multinational companies of other countries including Japan, Canada, Germany are also prioritising Madhya Pradesh for setting-up their units. CM Shri Chouhan was having one-to-one discussions with industrialists and investors at the Brilliant Convention Centre in the second session of the first day of the Global Investors Summit.

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the summit would prove key for the state’s economy.

“There are buyers… sellers… over 5,000 industrialists and 70 big industrial houses participating. There is immense enthusiasm… I have to make the state a $ 550 billion economy by 2026 and this summit will be a milestone,” he said.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the GIS is truly global as representatives of 82 countries were participating and there were 10 partner countries. “Presidents of two countries, several foreign ministers, finance ministers and mineral ministers of different countries will be participating in the summit,”

Prime Minister Shri Modi has talked about making an economy of 5 trillion dollars by the year 2026. Madhya Pradesh’s contribution in this will not be less than US Dollar 550 billion. There are more than 300 industrial areas in the state. There are many food parks, plastic parks and now medical devices parks are also being developed. Investors themselves have started believing that Madhya Pradesh is favourable from investment point of view. The Pharma sector deserves congratulations, in which it played a role in the interest of the people by continuously working during the crisis of Covid. Continuous work has been done in the state in automobile sector, skill development, information technology, defence sector, renewable energy. Madhya Pradesh ranks fourth in ready-made industry. The goal is to come up to top place soon. Our sisters and daughters are hardworking. They also work in three shifts. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that now the work of setting-up a floating power plant on the water surface of dams has started in Omkareshwar. CM Shri Chouhan said that the state government will also do the work of providing customised packages as per the requirement of the industries.

I am always available as CEO in Madhya Pradesh; Will allot land for industries in 24 hours

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he is always available as the CEO of Madhya Pradesh. Time has been fixed for meeting industrialists every Monday. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is the cleanest state in the country and Indore is the cleanest city in the country. Today the state has moved rapidly towards development. Today the growth rate of the state is the highest in the country. We are moving ahead at a fast pace. Madhya Pradesh has a special place in India’s GDP. The per capita income in the state has increased to 1 lakh 37 thousand, but we are not at peace, that’s why continuous work is going on in Madhya Pradesh. The state has to be taken forward. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the demand for land will be fulfilled in 24 hours. There is sufficient availability of land in the state. The work of providing it for the establishment of industrial units will be done on priority. About 2 lakh acres of land is available in the land bank created for Madhya Pradesh industries. There are many minerals in the state. As far as energy production is concerned, more than 25 thousand megawatt of electricity is being produced. Delhi’s Metro Rail also runs with the help of Madhya Pradesh’s electricity. There is no shortage of water. There is industrial peace. The terror of dacoits has been eradicated from the state. Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country in the field of good governance. Bureaucracy is helpful. Ministers will also co-operate with those who come to set-up industries. There are 11 climatic zones in Madhya Pradesh. It has emerged as the food capital of the country.

Madhya Pradesh has immense potential for investment in tourism

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh has immense potential for investment in the tourism sector. A large number of tourists from the country and abroad visit the historical, cultural, religious and nature-based tourist places of the state. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a session related to investment in tourism sector at the Brilliant Convention Center in Indore on the occasion of the Global Investors Summit. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, underlining the specialties of the state, said that the beauty of Madhya Pradesh is amazing. As a part of our religious tourism, we have two Jyotirlingas – Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar on the banks of Maa Narmada. Khajuraho is a world heritage site. Madhya Pradesh is India’s tiger, gharial, vulture, leopard and cheetah state in the field of wildlife tourism. Taking advantage of the increasing number of tourists in the state, all investors should find opportunities for investment in tourism. Describing the cooperative policies of the government, he also assured the investors of all possible co-operation.

CM Shri Chouhan said that we are witnessing many possibilities in the field of tourism. Whether it is wildlife tourism, heritage tourism or religious tourism. Apprising about several tourist places of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the work of rehabilitating cheetahs in Kuno, Palpur was successful. Tourists will be able to see them from the month of February. Before becoming a Cheetah state, Madhya Pradesh has also become a Tiger, Leopard and Crocodile state. The number of tourists is continuously increasing in Ujjain to visit Shri Mahakal Lok and Shiv Srishti.

Unprecedented confidence’ in India: PM at Global Investors Summit in Indore

Prime minister Narendra Modi addressed the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit 2023’ via video-conferencing on Wednesday, 11th January 2-23 and hailed the country’s economic growth, saying that the International Monetary Fund sees India as a ‘bright spot’ in the global economy. He also said India has been on a ‘reform, transform and perform’ path since 2014.

Dalmia Bharat Group will set-up cement plant in state

Shri Puneet Dalmia of Dalmia Bharat Group made a proposal to set-up a cement plant in the state and to encourage tree plantation on the waste land of the state to before the Global Investors Summit. Shri Puneet Dalmia of Dalmia Bharat Group, Shri Nadir develop a healthy carbon cycle.

Godrej Industries

Shri Nadir Godrej of Godrej Industries expressed his desire to invest in the real estate sector, plan to set-up agro-chemical industry, increase activities in the health sector under CSR.

Adani Group plans to invest 60 thousand crores in the state

Shri Pranav Adani of Adani Agro Oil and Gas said that his group has plans to invest Rs. 60 thousand crore in the fields of minerals, energy, agriculture, renewable energy and coal in the state. The group also plans to set-up a hospital in the state.

Tata International

Shri Noel Tata of Tata International said that his group will expand its activities in the state. The group will also increase the number of its retail outlet units in the state.

ITC Group will invest 1500 crores: 1000 FPOs will be established in state

Shri Sanjeev Puri of ITC Group said that Madhya Pradesh is more active than other states in the field of inviting investment. Shri Puri said that 300 FPOs are being operated by ITC in the state. The target is to expand these and set-up 1000 FPOs, an investment of 1500 crore will be made in this. ITC Group is going to set-up a packaging and food processing unit in the state. The packaging unit will start by the end of this year. The group is promoting the cultivation of aromatic plants.

Accenture Group describes state’s IT policy as useful

Ms Rekha Menon of Accenture Group appreciated the IT policy of Madhya Pradesh and said that this policy is very useful and friendly for the IT industry. Indore has a suitable working environment. Therefore, Indore is continuously emerging as the centre of IT professionals. Accenture has started operations in Indore only 6 months back, where 1400 people are working. The group will expand its activities in the state.

Reliance Group to expand 5G in entire state; Keen on Solar Energy/Textile Processing Unit

Shri Nikhil R, Meswani of Reliance Industries said that economic activities are increasing due to investment in service sector. Therefore, Reliance Group will make 5G facility available in the entire state by the end of this year. 175 petrol pumps are being operated by the group in the state; this number will also be doubled. Reliance Group is keen to make big investment in the solar energy sector. For this, necessary survey and study is going on in Chambal region. The group is also willing to invest in setting-up complete textile processing units in the state.
