Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.23% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:27AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Zydus Lifesciences(up 8.59 per cent), Biocon(up 4.24 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 2.79 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 2.24 per cent) and Natco Pharma(up 0.98 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Divis Laboratories(down 4.65 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 2.26 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.08 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.9 per cent) and Sanofi India(down 0.44 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.23 per cent at 12156.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 119.25 points at 17734.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 392.18 points at 60449.7.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of , YES Bank, PNB, and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , , M&M Financial and Jindal Saw hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , , Nahar Capital and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
